JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - A Big 12 quarterback is joining the pack.

247Sports was first to report that UCF sophomore QB Timmy McClain would transfer to Arkansas State. McClain made his intentions official on Friday.

McClain threw for 1,065 yards, rushed for 104 yards, and had 10 total touchdowns in the 2023 season.

The Florida native is a dual threat, he had a circus run and throw to evade pressure and move the chains against Baylor.

McClain started his collegiate career at South Florida in 2021, playing in 11 games as a true freshman. He threw for 1,888 yards, ran for 238, and accounted for 9 total touchdowns (5 passing, 4 rushing). He redshirted in 2022.
